How Do I Steam Clean Carpet?

By Zach Smith

I don't know any person who looks forward to the chore of cleaning their carpets. It is heavy and will become heavier if you soak it using traditional cleaning methods. What you need is a better cleaning tool.

There is the efficiency of steam cleaners. You can always go for this. This is like an optional cleaning machine but it should be a household staple as you can use it for a long time. It cleans not only on the outside but it also gets rid of bacteria, germs, dust mites that commonly thrive in your household. This makes it safer for your children to play on your carpet.

In addition to this benefit, you can also eliminate the hassle of using chemical cleaning methods. This is not only unsafe to use, they are also harsh to the environment and you do not want a hand in ruining Mother Nature.

Okay, so here is how you can use this machine:

Step 1: Before plugging the machine on, fill it up first with the needed amount of water. Make nothing drips on the floor so you do not accidentally slip on it or get electrocuted. Afterwards, let the machine heat it up for a few minutes. If you are using a competent machine, it should take about 15 minutes to produce steam that will last for 45 minutes or more of continuous cleaning.

Step 2: While waiting for your steamer to finish producing steam, vacuum your carpet. If your machine has a vacuum function, you can use this. If you do not have a vacuum cleaner at home, you can roll the carpet and take it outside. Get a broom and give it a bit of whack to get rid of some of the dust.

Step 3: Afterwards, roll the carpet again. Prepare your steam cleaner nozzle. Practice handling the trigger first. When steam comes out seamlessly, unroll a part of the carpet and pull the trigger to release steam. Clean one part at a time. This way, you won't leave anything not cleaned.

Step 4: Once finished, roll the carpet again and take it outside and unroll it to dry completely. It is best if you are using a cleaner that produces dry steam. This way, it will not soak your carpet and you do not need as much drying time.

Follow this procedure when you are cleaning your carpet so you can haven an easy time of it cleaning.

Enjoy Vacuum Cleaning Luxury With Intelligent Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

Review of Robotic Vacuums

Owning a robotic vacuum cleaner is truly a luxury within itself. Vacuuming and cleaning the carpet without actually operating it? Yes! It's possible due to the high intelligence of robot vacuums and the good news is that this technology is readily available for sale.

These vacuums are bag less and are fully up and running at the touch of a button and can be used to vacuum floors and carpets. With sensors all over the vacuum, it is immediately alerted to the presence of dirt and debris on the floor and under beds, sofas, and tables.

These same sensors are programmed to keep the vacuum from falling off stairs and bumping into furniture in models like the Electrolux Trilobite. Robot vacuum cleaners literally learn the layout of your home to ensure optimal results.

Models like the iRobot Roomba Discovery 510 shut off when full so you don't have to worry about it running nonstop. Some can also be programmed to run for a specified amount of time. Other models also allow programming of the cleaning power for light cleaning or heavy duty cleaning.

Choosing the Best Robotic Vacuum

If having a bagless vacuum cleaner is important then a robotic vacuum is a good choice but not all robotic vacuums meet their expectations. Better performance is seen in the more expensive vacuum cleaners. Cheaper robotic vacuums seem to fall short in their sensing ability and will randomly bump into walls and furniture.

The Electrolux Trilobite is a high end vacuum cleaner with an expensive price tag. Running in at $1800 can be a cause of concern for those who are looking for more inexpensive ones. The high price tag is due to its superb intelligent technology and mapping abilities. It has some of the best performing sensors compared to other robot vacuum cleaners, allowing it to stop within ¼" inch of walls and furniture, keeping your table legs and baseboards from getting scratched and damaged. The Trilobite also knows when it has already gone over an area of the floor and this reduces the vacuuming time by avoiding spots already cleaned.

Less expensive are the popular iRobot Roomba models. The price varies on these models from $100 to over $500 so finding one in your budget is more likely. Common problems noted in consumer reviews include the debris power - larger debris is more likely to get stuck in the vacuum, the sensors - the vacuum tends to pass over the same spots repeatedly, and the charge time. Nevertheless, Roomba models are great at vacuuming high traffic areas and uncluttered rooms all while remaining wallet friendly.

By J Arnold

Do you know what sets Miele vacuum cleaners apart from the rest of the flock? There may be numerous vacuum cleaner brands in the market, but Miele stands out from the rest. Miele as a long-popular consumer electronics brand is celestial. And that reputation is extended to the very efficient and well-trusted vacuum cleaners.

To begin with, Miele is a German consumer electronics maker. The company was founded in 1899. Initially, the first Miele products included tub washing machines, butter churns and cream separators. As a consumer goods manufacturer, Miele has the current reputation of being the first to use plastic as a raw material. Since its establishment, the trademark Miele has long been present in every modern household.

As years passed by, there have been many other consumer electronics products that were soon identified with Miele. Among them are cooker hoods, coffee systems, hobs and steam and speed ovens. Miele for its part was mostly identified as being a laundry appliances developer and producer. This image has made the brand identified with dishwashers and irons. Because the company apparently pursued offering household products, it soon emerged to sell vacuum cleaners.

The very first vacuum cleaner made by Miele was launched in Germany in the year 1927. The machine was among the first Miele electronic products that are made and housed in plastic materials then known as bakelite. Instantly, Miele vacuum cleaners became a sure-fire hit.

Through the years, many experts and doctors have been highly recommending investing in Miele vacuum cleaners. Why? That is because the equipments have been proven to help households get rid of germs and pathogens that mainly cause asthma and other forms of allergies. Now, that advantage of Miele vacuum cleaners are still very much identified with the brand.

Miele vacuum cleaners are popular. In the past, it has also been noted that the brand has been uniquely naming its major vacuum cleaner brands after celestial bodies. For example, the popular Miele vacuums are known as Luna, Sirius, Antares and Orion. The Red Star vacuum cleaner has been known to help eliminate presence of pet hair from cats and dogs.

The S147 vacuum is light weight and is very handy. This durable vacuum cleaner has an upholstery brush equipped with integrated felt lint brushes that are there for cleaning furniture and drapes. When it comes to total cleaning and sanitation of the household and establishments, no other brand can still get close to the reliability of Miele.
